Civil War Encampment & Bake Sale

The Octagon House Museum will host the 13th annual Civil War Encampment on Sunday, July 18 from 11 am to 4 pm. The Encampment is a free event is open to the public. This family friendly event will be held on the Octagon House Museum’s south lawn at 1004 Third Street in Hudson, WI.

Experience the Civil War with the 6th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Company B “Prescott Guards” who will be camped on the south lawn of the Octagon House Museum sharing stories and showing weapons and supplies.

The Encampment will include a bake sale. Free-will donations are greatly appreciated for  baked goods and activities!

The Museum Gift Shop is open to the public during special events and regular tour hours.  Located in the Carriage House, the gift shop features items for the home and garden, and Victorian inspired gifts.

Octagon House Museum

The St. Croix County Historical Society maintains the Octagon House Museum complex, which is open for guided tours May through October & December. In addition to the gracious eight-sided house with Victorian era furnishings, the complex includes the Garden House with its 19th century life, domestic arts, carpenter, blacksmith, and general store tableaux; and the Carriage House, which includes the Museum Gift Shop and research center. All structures are set amid expansive, beautifully maintained gardens.
