Octagon House Museum Opens for Hot Air Affair Tours

The Octagon House Museum will be open for guided tours on Saturday, January 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the annual Hot Air Affair.

Come in from the cold and learn about ballooning history and the history of the Octagon House and the family who lived there for four generations.

After the museum tour, hot cider and cookies will be served in the Carriage House and the Museum Gift Shop will be open for shopping.

Admission for the tour is $10 for adults, $3 for students, and children 5 and under are free with an adult.

Octagon House Museum

The St. Croix County Historical Society maintains the Octagon House Museum complex, which is open for guided tours May through October & December. In addition to the gracious eight-sided house with Victorian era furnishings, the complex includes the Garden House with its 19th century life, domestic arts, carpenter, blacksmith, and general store tableaux; and the Carriage House, which includes the Museum Gift Shop and research center. All structures are set amid expansive, beautifully maintained gardens.
