Octagon House Museum Opens for Tours

The Octagon House Museum at 1004 Third Street in Hudson will open for the 2021 tour season starting on Saturday, May 1st, 2021. This year’s theme at the museum will be “Creating the Hudson Community”, looking back to the 1850s and 1860s.

The Museum will be open for tours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 4 pm.  Tours beginning on the hour and are available hourly by appointment with the first daily tour at 11 am and the last starting at 3 pm.

The last regular museum tours for this season will be on October 17th. The museum will open in December on the weekends prior to Christmas.

Tours will be limited to small groups and family units and reservations are required. For you convenience you may register and purchase tickets on Eventbrite. Or please call in advance to reserve your tour time at (715) 386-2654 or email octagon@stcroixcountyhistory.org.

Octagon House Museum

The St. Croix County Historical Society maintains the Octagon House Museum complex, which is open for guided tours May through October & December. In addition to the gracious eight-sided house with Victorian era furnishings, the complex includes the Garden House with its 19th century life, domestic arts, carpenter, blacksmith, and general store tableaux; and the Carriage House, which includes the Museum Gift Shop and research center. All structures are set amid expansive, beautifully maintained gardens.
