CANCELED – Rhythms & Rhymes of Suffrage Times

CANCELED – Join the St. Croix County Historical Society for poetry and prose in the Octagon House Museum parlor.  This new programming to engage in mindful and thought-provoking exchanges that will enhance our view of the history and happenings around us. With our Women’s Suffrage theme at the Octagon House Museum this year, our first of this programming will be “Rhythms & Rhymes of Suffrage Times”. Enjoy an afternoon of harp music accompanying a collection of satirical works from the suffrage era.

Octagon House Museum

The St. Croix County Historical Society maintains the Octagon House Museum complex, which is open for guided tours May through October & December. In addition to the gracious eight-sided house with Victorian era furnishings, the complex includes the Garden House with its 19th century life, domestic arts, carpenter, blacksmith, and general store tableaux; and the Carriage House, which includes the Museum Gift Shop and research center. All structures are set amid expansive, beautifully maintained gardens.
