The St. Croix County Historical Society will hold its Annual Dinner Meeting on Wednesday, October 16th at Woodland Hill Presbyterian Homes, 441 Stageline Road in Hudson.
The meeting is open to public and starts with a social at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m., followed by a short business meeting and a program.
The program will feature guest speaker Bill Moen, author of two humorous and fascinating Wisconsin Bar stories books: Badger Bars & Tavern Tales and Another Round of Badger Bars & Tavern Tales. The books chronicle an “…era of places filled with smoke, jokes, the music of jukeboxes, and of times less stressful, more casual, and less sober.” In keeping with our Museum theme for 2019, Prohibition: Temperance or Speakeasy, Bill will provide history and insight into Wisconsin’s favorite beverages.
The dinner meeting cost is $25 per person. Guests can select either Cranberry Glazed Chicken with wild rice or Vegetarian Pasta Rosa with Alfredo and Marinara sauce. Both meals include a dinner roll, green beans, fruit salad, apple crisp, and beverage (coffee, lemonade or water).
Reservations are required by Tuesday, October 9th. Please use this link for a reservation form or RSVP to the Octagon House Museum at (715) 386-2654 with the number of attendees and your meal selection (Please leave a message if no one is available). Advanced payment is required.
