Christmas Tour of Homes

Octagon House Christmas - ParlorThe Octagon House Museum will début its 2021 holiday theme “An Early Hudson Christmas: Bringing Old World Traditions to the New World” during the Hudson Christmas Tour of Homes opening on November 20 and 21.

The first floor of the Historic Octagon House Museum and four privately owned homes will be featured on the tour. All of the homes will be decorated in holiday finery and open for tour.

We are excited to welcome guest into the Carriage House Shop during the Tour of Homes, as well as during regular holiday tours on the first three weekend in December.  We have stocked the shop with new seasonal gift items.  Visit the shop for Michel Design Works candles and diffusers, fun Christmas gifts and so much more to make your gift giving easy!

Octagon House Museum

The St. Croix County Historical Society maintains the Octagon House Museum complex, which is open for guided tours May through October & December. In addition to the gracious eight-sided house with Victorian era furnishings, the complex includes the Garden House with its 19th century life, domestic arts, carpenter, blacksmith, and general store tableaux; and the Carriage House, which includes the Museum Gift Shop and research center. All structures are set amid expansive, beautifully maintained gardens.
