Teas & Special Tours
Victorian Cream Tea:
The Victorian Cream Tea is offered to groups of 25 or more people.
Our Victorian Cream Tea is an elegant three-course tea served at the Phipps Center for the Arts, overlooking the lovely St. Croix River. Tea can be served any time after noon. Sweets and savories, presented on an elegant buffet table, include four varieties of finger sandwiches, freshly made scones with clotted cream and preserves, and a colorful assortment of dessert treats. Servers offer guests, seated at linen clad tables, endless cups of Earl Grey tea from silver pots, with cream and sugar on silver trays.
Octagon House Museum Tour:
Before or after your tea, you may choose to enjoy a guided tour of the Victorian-era Octagon House Museum complex. In addition to the elegant home and its beautifully maintained gardens, the complex also includes a Garden House exhibits, and the Museum Gift Shop, located in the former carriage house.
Phipps Center for the Arts Tour:
Additionally, your group may prearrange a guided tour of the Phipps Center for the Arts and enjoy the art displays in their galleries.
The Victorian Cream Tea is offered to groups of 25 or more. We are able to accommodate a maximum of 55 people.
The cost for our elegant Victorian Tea is $30 per person. For an additional $10 per person the tea can be combined with a tour of the Octagon House Museum complex. Phipps Arts Center Tours are free of charge. Advance reservations are required for these special tours or tour combinations. A final count and 10% deposit is due no later than ten days before a Tea Tour.

Octagon House Tea
Looking for something cozy? Groups of 4 -16 guests can enjoy tea at the Octagon House Museum with tea and light scrumptious delights. This tea includes black and herbal tea served with sweet and savory morsels.

Historic Third Street Walking Tours
Enjoy a private guided walking tour of Hudson’s historic Third Street. This tour will highlight the architectural styles of historic homes along Third Street. Guest will become acquainted with the stories of the people who called these great houses home.

Hudson History Pub Crawl
The St. Croix County Historical Society offers a Hudson History Pub Crawl as a private tour. This tour available for groups of 4 to 20 guest and can be scheduled through out the year, based on availability of our tour guides. Like many Wisconsin towns, Hudson has a rich history surrounding the production and consumption of alcohol and this walking tour will give a glimpse into that past.
Join the Society for an informative and “spirited” historical presentation on the brewing industry in Wisconsin. Discussion will include interesting local history, as well as the historical background of the establishments visited and their buildings.
The tour will depart from the historic Historic Casanova Liquor and visit Ziggy’s, Hop & Barrel Brewing and Dick’s Bar and Grill.
Drink will be offered (Not included in ticket price). All attendees must be 21 or older.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather as it is a walking tour.
